Spec/Semi-Custom New Construction
As builders, Skywalk Homes builds infill construction in the Metro Atlanta area. Constructing various styles of homes in various locations allows us to glean an enormous amount of knowledge that can be cross-referenced for the benefit of many of our other projects. This results in a win for our Clients as they can rest assured they are getting the best we can offer as we are continually improving every day. Skywalk Homes will also demolish homes that are too far gone to salvage and replace them with a home that brings the property up to date to improve the quality of the neighborhood.
Home Remodeling
As remodelers, we have remodeled numerous homes both large and small. From smaller cosmetic projects to full gut renovations to ‘pop the top’ or ‘pop the back’ additions, we have seen projects of endless shapes and sizes. Remodeling homes can be a cost-effective way to improve your home as it is oftentimes less costly than starting over from scratch. Through the remodeling process are usually numerous unique challenges that can impact the scope of a project. We tackle this head-on as we do our remodels so our Clients know we have handled each property with the care it needs to perform to the best of its abilities for their satisfaction.
Historic Homes
While technically a subcategory of both new construction and remodeling, historic homes deserve their own special paragraph. Historic homes are homes that live in either a Landmark or Historic district as notated by the Atlanta Urban Design Commission. As a result, these homes have special requirements that are stricter than the average neighborhood. Demolition of existing structures is highly discouraged and rare, creating special challenges in bringing back a home to its glory. If building new, construction of a home that meets the historic requirements also requires a strict review process to ensure the product blends as expected with the community. In short, historic homes are charming yet challenging however the finished project is always a considerable enhancement to their respective communities.
